Mother of the Year

Posted: June 28, 2009 in Uncategorized

A 22-year old woman in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, apparently not realizing she was pregnant, gave birth to a baby boy in a Wal-Mart restroom. And then, like all good mothers do, she left the baby in the toilet and ran out. Somehow she was found not guilty of child abandonment.

This is just flabbergasting. How in the fuck is this not child abandonment? She gave birth to a baby and then left him to die in a toilet. I don’t give a rat’s ass that she claims that the baby didn’t look like he was alive. As the mother, or as a human being for christ’s sake, she should have taken responsibility for that poor child and gotten some help. I just can’t believe this. What a poor excuse for a human being.

I realize, as difficult as it sometimes is to believe, that some people are pregnant and never know it until they deliver the baby. So I understand that this woman was shocked to all hell when she went to use the restroom and ended up delivering a baby (especially since, according to her, she had taken three pregnancy tests which all came back negative). However, there is just no excuse for her actions. All she had to do is call for help. It’s not difficult. Thankfully (and no thanks to her) the baby survived and is being cared for by a family. Unfathomable to me is how this idiot is allowed to have regular contact with the baby. She abandons him, leaving him for dead, and now she’s allowed to have contact with him? How the fuck does that happen?

Unbelievable! Really how did she get away with “not guilty?” I don’t understand our court systems AT ALL!
